Bossier City, LA, United States This car is the 9th one EVER issued to the public... the first eight were given to people in the SLP organization and were never available to the public. This car is even rarer in that it was one of the few NON T-Tops made... they had issues with the seals leaking and were hesitant making everyone a T-Top. Saying that it makes this 1 of 13 EVER MADE!!! I am a proud owner of a 1995 Comp T/A which was only produced in 95-97. In 1995 SLP and GM only produced 72 and were planning on making 200 for the public but only managed to do 164. The history behind the Comp T/A is that GM gives SLP cars to modify similar to the arrangement that Shelby has with Ford. Well all Firehawks are Firebirds that were upgraded (by SLP) and were identified then sold. Well all Comp T/As were Trans Ams and then were given to SLP... this allowed them to modify things like the intake, exhaust, exterior, as well as alot of custom interior pieces that make the Comp T/A more superior then even the most upgradeable FireHawk. OK. Now for the real stats on the Comp T/A's: First, you have to start with a special order T/A with the following from Pontiac: * - V87S + Y82 Trans Am Coupe or T-Top * - Bright Silver Metallic Exterior - 13 * - AQ9 Ultima Graphite Leather Buckets * - 1SA Option Package * - R6V Merchandising Option Code * - T43 Trans Am Spoiler * - GU5 Performance Axle (Automatics Only) * - QLC High Performance Tires Second, SLP will add the following goodies to your ride. * - Uniquely-Styled hood and cold air induction package (More commonly known as Ram-Air now!) Please note, the Comp T/A hood is of composite construction. * - Dark gray 10" wide center stripe’ * - Matching gray 'Comp T/A' headlamp door and wheel center cap graphics * - 3-Dimensional matching gray 'Comp T/A' door graphics * - 17 x 9 5-spoke Firehawk style alloy wheels(Speedline) * - BFG P275/40ZR17 Comp T/A performance tires * - Dual cast aluminum exhaust tips * - Sport Suspension Package (Std. with manual coupe, Opt. with auto., N/A with -Tops) * - Hurst Shifter with custom leather wrapped shift knob (N/A with auto) * - Heavy Duty embroidered 'Comp T/A' floor mats * - 'Comp T/A' Cloisonne' numbered dash plaque (1 to 200) and Two(2) matching key fobs * - Mobil 1 synthetic engine oil and rear axle oil, semi-synthetic power steering lube and a premium synthetic media oil filter For a few bucks more SLP will add: * - Sport Suspension Package (if you have an auto) * - BF Goodrich's Comp T/A ‘R1’ Competition series ultra performance tires mounted and balanced on an additional set of 'Comp T/A' wheels. This tire and wheel combination will improve 0-60 mph and 1/4 mile acceleration and handling significantly but will result in much harsher ride quality(stiffer side wall) and reduced tread life(10,000 miles) compared to the standard Comp T/A ZR tires. - 2 on the left performance exhaust system Comp T/A Production Figures: 1995 - 72 Comp T/A's 1996 - 45 Comp T/A's 1997 - 47 Comp T/A's ------------------------------------ Total = 164 Comp T/A's produced ------------------------------------ 1995 - 30 coupe (13 Auto, 17 6-spd) 42 t-top (11 Auto, 31 6-spd) 6 w/sport suspension package 28 w/R1 tire option This particular Comp T/A has every possible upgrade from the factory as well as few modifications. It has 60,234 miles it has had 2 owners both in the same family. This car has been garage kept with a fleet car cover. Was used for weekend driving and did manage to attend 5 car shows in which it won 2 times (1 for "best collectible" and the other was "best domestic original") It is a great car and is only being sold for the fact that the economy has placed this family in a dire situation.
