PHOENIX, AZ DESERT AUTOSPORT IS VERY PLEASED TO BRING TO THE MARKETPLACE THIS 1996 PONTIAC TRANS AM COMP T/A. THESE COMP T/A'S ARE ULTRA RARE AND ONLY 164 WERE OVER PRODUCED OVER A 3 YEAR PRODUCTION SPAN FROM 1995-1997. THE INFORMATION BELOW IS TAKEN DIRECTLY FROM THE WEBSITE WWW.COMP-TA.COM THE RAM AIR TRANS AM IS ONE OF THE COOLEST MUSCLE CARS EVER PRODUCED AND WHEN SLP RE-INTRODUCED THEM TO THE PUBLIC, THEY WERE JUST AS POPULAR NOW AS THEY WERE IN THE LATE 60'S-EARLY 70'S. THIS CAR IS NOT ONLY COLLECTIBLE AS A COMP T/A BUT IS EVEN BETTER THAT IT IS ESSENTIALLY A SPECIAL EDITION FIREHAWK. THIS PARTICULAR COMP T/A IS A ONE OWNER CAR FROM NEW AND IS TOTALLY STOCK AND UNMOLESTED. THE PAINT AND BODY ARE IN EXCELLENT OVERALL CONDITION AND THE ONLY VERY MINOR BLEMS WORTH MENTIONING IS A VERY SMALL SCRAPE ON THE CORNER OF THE R/R BUMPER, A MINOR SCRAPE ON THE LOWER R/F BUMPER COVER AND SOME MINOR CHIPS ON THE FRONT BUMPER COVER BUT NOTHING THAT DETRACTS FROM THE EXCELLENT OVERALL GREAT LOOKS. THE ODOR FREE INTERIOR IS IN VERY NICE CONDITION AND SHOWS MINIMAL WEAR. IT HAS THE T-TOP SHADES WITH IT AND IS 1 OF 23 AUTOMATIC T-TOP EQUIPPED CARS MADE IN 1996. MECHANICALLY IT RUNS AND DRIVES VERY WELL WITH NO ISSUES AND RUNS AS STRONG AS IT DID BACK IN 1996. NO TRANS AM COLLECTION IS COMPLETE WITHOUT A COMP T/A!!! The 'Comp T/A' is a 1995 Trans Am celebrating the 25th Anniversary of B.F. Goodrich's Comp T/A performance line of tires. The car's design got the approving nod from Pontiac in less than 3 months from concept to final approval. This was due to the dedication of Jim Mattison and Ed Hamburger (president of Street Legal Performance). SLP is well known to anyone interested in Pontiac's for producing the Firehawk. SLP is also known for producing high performance parts for all types of late model F-Bodies.
